Tuesday, March 23rd, 2010Another LMFF is over and we’re in recovery mode. Highlights included the spoken word as well as the visual. The designer forum and the business seminar kept us thinking ahead. When do you get to chat with the creative director of Calvin Klein or the innovator of Fashionair?? P.S. Alice E was selected to be represented on fashionair! We’ll keep you posted, should be out in a month.
In the meantime I wrapped up my job as LMFF Designer Award Project Manager and took this shamelessly fuzzy pic of the nominees (L-R) Lui Hon, Dion Lee, Gail Reid of Gail Sorronda, Gary Bigeni, Therese Rawsthorne and Konstantina Mittas. Note the cute models chatting post show including the amazon (?) in the winners garb, standing in front of the hand-made limited edition Romance Was Born gift bags knitted on an old Coogee machine! (hot tip for young players? F2 knitting mills!) Thank you clever designers of Australia for being so lovely!! Can’t wait for year 14 of the award in 2011!
